project: ceilings

ceiling DIY home decor tutorial
{wood planks in my sun room}

Look up! Yup, think about the ceiling as the 5th wall. Bring the eye upward to view all of the room and not just the lower perimeter. It can be subtle or bold depending on the homeowners preference and the style of the room. These bloggers have some great ideas and lovely inspiration:

Red Door Home: two simple ideas to add character to your ceilings - great!

Happy Lady Decorates: do's and don'ts of making a ceiling appear higher - well put

Not JUST A Housewife: stenciled ceiling - lovely damask

Elements At Home: the 5th wall - so many great ideas

House Of Turquoise: blue painted ceilings - of course!

I Still Love You: thrifty & chic bedroom edition - bedsheets stapled to ceiling

I like your format and that bedsheets stapled to the ceiling sounds interesting. I'm not usually into crafty stuff, but surely I could manage a stapler.

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

Hey, I'm stopping by from the LBS and experienced a déjà-vu. I'm preeetty sure I've been here before but I can't explain why I wouldn't have added your blog to my reader (because that's what I usually do straight away when I find a blog I like) - anyway, I will do so now.
And: I love ceilings. Especially ceilings in old houses or big buildings like train stations or museums, they often have very special and nicely decorated ceilings.
Happy Easter!
