Advent calendars are really popular with bloggers and so fun to make! I made ours by spray painting matchboxes and then I glued little magnets on one side and used gift tags for the other side. Then I numbered each one and put a little surprise in each box. We put them on the fridge and our son just loves it! Here are a few fabulous ideas I've found this year. Go ahead and make one too and get inspired here:
Craftberry Bush: the advent calendar... - oh so cute little buckets
Lovely Things: advent calendar + decorating with old familiar things - lunch bags & twine
Two Shades of Pink: our advent calendar - wow, it's a bookcase diorama
Rambling Renovators: advent calendar tree - lovely traditions
The Marion House Book: diy advent calendar - it's gorgeous too
Love, Lindsey: DIY advent calendar - stamped paper sacks
Destination: Craft: advent calendar ideas - notes for each day
The Crafty Bee: advent ready - Christmas decorations on tags
Lil Boy Blue: recycled paper DIY advent calendar - with cute gifts
