project: plate walls

DIY plate walls
{Sunset}

Plate walls are a great way to fill a space and they can be done anywhere too - the hallway, the bedroom, the living room and dining room too! They can be a miss-matched assortment of colourful thrift store plates or a family heirloom collection in bone china. There are lot's of ideas here by bloggers on plate walls. Start here:

View Along The Way: Grannys plate wall gets a youthful facelift - and it's gorgeous

Liz Marie: eclectic plate wall... - white plates done right!

Beaux R'eves: pinned to perfection! - wall inspired by Pinterest

mmmcrafts: corners of my house foyer plate wall - curved

The Nesting Game: the flip side - bedroom black wall with white plates

World In A Paper Cup: plate montage - some beautiful inspiration

Running From The Law: home project dining room plate wall - great tutorial

Imperfectly Beautiful: Pottery Barn inspired plate wall...done - in black & white

Honeysuckle: diy plate wall - using painters tape & mounters tape to hang them

Thanks so much for the link up to my blog! I love getting traffic from new sources! I've added a few more plates to the wall since I last posted, so I guess it's finally time for an update! Love your blog and adding you to my reader!

I've had collections of plates for many years and always enjoyed finding different ways to display them in new houses. All those military moves - we were never allowed to paint or wallpaper, but a wall full of plates made a colourful statement - and made a new place home.

I'm gonna take a look around these plate walls. I saw one somewhere that has some crazy animal plates, and I'm on the lookout!

Oh, I am smiling so much now because even though I have an awesome collection of plates that "spoke" to me, I was wistfully looking at other plates and determined to find them. Can anyone say, addiction? Love your posts, but this one really resonated with me, thanks!

I just love plate walls ....... however I have lucked out with my house and have a plate rail. No I just have to get butt in gear and do something with it. I'm thinking of a gallery of pics actually. But could you imagine a humungous collection of plates leaned up around the whole plate rail. Makes for quite the conversation piece.
