I think that one of the easiest and yet very effective DIYs are chairs. Starting with some paint and fabric and going from there the chair can be transformed to suit any decor. These bloggers here have done an amazing job rescuing their seats and they are all beautiful. Pull up a chair and check out these:
Refresheddesigns: Ikea wallpapered chair tutorial - and it's gorgeous!
Love Your Room: my morning slip cover chair project using remnant fabric - no sewing
Ms. Magpie Designs: trendy Tuesday – dipped legs - inspiration for some DIY
Little Miss Penny Wenny: chevron chair - painted silver metallic too
Decor Allure: from shabby to chic! - with French script fabric
My House of Giggles: tufted wing chair makeover - painting upholstery
Everyday Originals: cane chair makeover - painted black and gorgeous fabric
