I've found some really creative media solutions by bloggers! What is popular is getting a dresser and taking out the top drawers and then using that space for the electronics that go with the tv. There's also the wall mounted type and how to hide those cords plus a DIY cover to hide it when it's not in use. Hopefully this inspires you to come up with something of your own to help decorate and hold that great big tv! Please have a look at these bloggers tips and tutorials:
Two Twenty One: dresser turned TV stand - take the top drawers out!
Four Generations One Roof: Pottery Barn inspired apothecary media cabinet - beautiful!
Kristen Duke Photography: sliding barn door TV cover {DIY} - looks great!
SZInteriors: artist easel to TV stand ‘before & after’ - very unique

Sometimes I wish I didn't have an armoire that hides my TV so well, just so I could have a cute little dresser to put under it. :)
Wow, Heather! Thank you so much for the feature :-) You've pulled together some really great ideas that would be fun to have in a home. I love, LOVE the Pottery Barn enclosure, and Kristen Duke Photography's sliding barn door!
Such great ideas! We covered my TV with a mobile painting last year!
